The Senior Business Systems Analyst plays a key role in EMEA Application Development, bridging the gap between IT and business units by developing a strong understanding of the businesses' strategic objectives, processes and systems and communicating this understanding to Application Development team colleagues. The Senior BSA identifies areas for improvement and works with stakeholders to develop solutions, identifies and documents business requirements and works with both internal and external Agile project team to translate them into a comprehensive set of user stories of the appropriate level ensuring Corporate and Government regulations are complied with. Responsibilities Business Analysis - General Develop understanding of economic and competitive environment. Develop understanding of products, business processes, systems and procedures Identify areas of improvement, Corporate and Government regulations, BASAL2 and SOX etc. Business Analysis - Development Projects Communicate understanding of current and future business processes to the development team. Produce feature-level release plan and work with Product Owner to produce a comprehensive set of useable user stories to the level of granularity required by the team, in collaboration with the team and subject matter experts. Capture and keep business and data rules up-to-date. Provide business information during Release and Iteration Planning. Review, refine and re-prioritise the Release Backlog. Assist QA in producing acceptance tests from acceptance criteria. Provide regular feedback by validating that the product meets the business goals. Regularly meet business partners and attend monthly business meetings and off sites Ideal Profile: Business systems experience in business operations/practice, preferably gained in financial services (e.g. investment banking, investment management). Must be comfortable working in a large multinational organisation on geographical distributed project teams, ideally with Agile methodology. Demonstrates expert knowledge of business workflows, requirements, practices. Demonstrates conceptual knowledge of systems alignments, processes, data structures.
