description: Position: SQL Server Database Administrator Salary: £50,000 to £100,000 depending on experience Location: Malta Our client, a fast growing global company specialising in financial statistical analysis, is seeking a SQL Server Database Administrator. The successful candidate will work closely with the development, modelling and operations teams providing Enterprise scale data warehousing and live, high availability trading system support. You will be responsible for: Supporting Java Development and Statistical Modelling activities. Developing, configuring deploying and monitoring databases and data warehouses. Developing complex stored procedures & reporting. Candidate requirements: An in-depth understanding of databases with exceptional SQL programming skills. Well versed in Trouble-shooting, problem-solving and issue resolution experience. Understanding of database performance tuning. Experience in a replicated, clustered environment. SQL Server 2000 / 2005 / 2008. T-SQL. N-Tier architecture knowledge. Practical SDLC experience. Experience in a high performance, high up time SWL server production environment.
